Undershirts and Sleeves That Cover Arm Tattoos

If you’re looking for an undershirt that can cover arm tattoos, I think you’ll find the following information very helpful.

Hi Tug,

Thank you for your time in advance.

I need to cover a tattoo that’s visible under my uniform shirts and I was hoping you could recommend an undershirt which sleeves are about an inch over the elbow.

I’m not concerned about the undershirt showing when raising my arms, if you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,

Covering Arm Tattoos With Undershirts

Heya Al,

Good to hear from you buddy and thanks for your question.

I did get a question a while ago about an elbow length undershirt, and I wrote an article about it. I discussed a few options about how to get elbow-sleeve length undershirts or their alternatives.

However, this is a different case as you need undershirts to cover-up arm tattoos.

Based on your question, it sounds like a nude (tan / beige) arm sleeve would be an alternative, and possibly a better solution to cover up your arm tattoos.

For instance, the cover-up arm sleeves from ArmyNavyOutdoors would be nice. Available in khaki color, these sleeves have non-slip gripper band at the bicep to stay put.

The secure fit further helps with proper covering of your arms and providing extra warmth.

You can use another product called tat jacket as a temporary tattoo cover-up.

Another option could be a nude color forearm tattoo cover-up compression arm band. These bands are readily available in retail shops like Walmart.

And if you wanted something a bit more athletic looking, you could try this nude compression arm sleeve (amazon) marketed toward basketball players.

Take a look at the products above and let me know if those might work for you in place of an undershirt with elbow or 3/4 length sleeves.

Let me know what you think, OK?

  1. Tug—I just found this site! What a great idea! As a guy who wears primarily undershirts, I wish I had thought of making a website about it!

Those arm sleeves are a great option, and I have a couple of friends who use them—they work great. They also use shorter ones, that just go over the elbows—I don’t know what you call them, but they also work, and they’re great for when it gets really hot outside, and you don’t want to wear long sleeves.

    Hope that helps.
