Q & A With ItsDri
Q. When did you launch?
We have been in soft launch for about 3 months now (July 2017). Most of our sales so far has been word of mouth.
We now (we believe!) have our logistics in place to go broader.
Q. Where are you based?
Tricky question!
Here is the long winded answer: We designed the undershirt in US, we manufacture in China, and our company is registered in India.
It’s a complicated global village!
Q. What’s the blend of the undershirt?
The undershirt comprises of three layers:
- Primary: 95% Lenzing Modal + 5% Spandex (for moisture wicking, body flattering fit and shine)
- Inner Layer: Copper Infused Modal (for antibacterial and anti-odor properties)
- Waterproof Layer: Bamboo Cotton Jersey+PU
Q. What’s the gsm weight of the fabric used in your undershirt?
160 GSM
Q. Is there only one color and collar style?
Yes, as of now, we only offer white color in V neck.
Based on the initial response and feedback, we will be launching a women’s scoop neck soon and perhaps followup with crew necks in future.
As of now, we are keeping it simple to manage logistics well.
Q. Where are your undershirts manufactured?
Designed in US, Made in China.
Q. Where do the shirts ship from?
We ship directly from manufacturer in China. This enables us to provide worldwide free shipping and keep our costs lean.
Q. Why did you create and launch ItsDri? Do you have hyperhidrosis?
Yes sir, unfortunately yes! I have suffered from hyperhidrosis since I remember.
I have it all over my body, but my palms and underarms are the worst!
My palms respond well to iontophoresis, but my underarms do not – so that’s when I explored undershirts.
I soon realized that the currently available undershirts were either not good, or far too expensive.
I decided to correct that!
Q. Is there anything else you would like to share?
Couple of things that I’d like to highlight about ItsDri below.
Hopefully you’d agree once you get the samples:
- Our undershirt compares to the “Premium” version provided by other brands (i.e. uses micro modal fabric instead of cotton)
- We provide industry best 60 days no questions asked 100% refund
- Our undershirts do not feel bulky under arms. This is because with the PU layer does not need to be thick to provide water proofing
- Finally, our undershirts do not “rustle” which is a problem with almost any other brand of sweatproof undershirt
- Our pricing is the lowest in its category (Modal) – $25 inclusive of free world wide shipping
Where is the follow up? This is just a Q&A.. Did the shirt work as described? Was it comfortable? Did you test it Tug? I came here for advice not a sales pitch.
heya mike, good to hear from you buddy.
fwiw, this isn’t a review article. it’s a product information article that was written to announce a new sweat-through resistant undershirt.
i did get a sample of the itsdri undershirt, but i never got around to testing it for sweat-through prevention.
i do have the undershirt right here in front of me, and i can say the following:
– the fabric is very soft (but it should be because it’s a modal/spandex blend)
– the underarm barriers appear to be thinner than some other brands – possibly offering a bit more comfort
– the underarm barriers are made from one single piece that spans the side, underarm, and under sleeve. other undershirts have the underarm pads designed in components and sewn together at the seams. one could argue that without the seams there would be less chance of sweat through, but the underarm fit may not be as good with a single large piece
– i poured a considerable amount of water on the inside underarm area (to simulate sweat), and the only water that made it through was the residual water that seeped across the seam lines where there wasn’t the sweat-through protection. so, this means that if your underarm sweating went beyond the barriers, you wouldn’t be protected. though, that is true for any undershirt that has this type of sweat-through prevention design
– i did the pour test two times, the second time with a bit less water – 5 cap-fulls from my water bottle, and had the same results as above
– it’s possible that the make-up of the inside water barrier layer is less absorbent than other similar products, and as such, the water may spread moreso than it does absorb into the inner layers
all the above said, if you’re looking for an undershirt with underarm sweat-through prevention, i’d say that itsdri would be a good alternative to consider.
have you tried other products like thompson tee, sweat shield undershirts, sutran, nanodri, or any others?
if so, which one do you like best?
Took 21 days to arrive after ordering opposed to the 9 Max they said. Would expect better from a $25 undershirt!
eh, that’s just the nature with ordering some products from overseas.
shipping time can be long, especially if the company is offering free shipping.
free shipping sometimes means the cheapest shipping :(
