By way of DailyMail.co.uk, I just learned about a unique product designed to help smooth out stomach lumps and bulges.
Invented by Karen Macauley (was on www.tumtape.co.uk) who was sick of ineffective diets and uncomfortable control pants, super adhesive Karen Macauley (was on www.tumtape.co.uk) provides an immediate, but temporary, stomach-smoothing solution.
Here’s what led Karen to invent Tum-Tape:
I was going out somewhere quite important but whatever I did my belly kept popping out from under my top.
Out of desperation I just opened up my cupboard and the first thing I saw was some very strong adhesive tape. I thought to myself “I must be insane doing this” but I cut off three pieces and I went out and had no problems with it.
It wasn’t months of testing in a laboratory – just pure desperation.
They say necessity is the mother of invention and that was definitely the case here. Overnight the problems with my stomach had gone as I finally had a solution to it. I felt really confident all night and knew I was on to something – though.
How Does Tum-Tape Work?
Should You Skip The Spanx?
What’s interesting here is that I recalled seeing a similar product called Skinnies Instant Lifts on Shark Tank one or two seasons ago. In checking their website, they show that they’ve sold over 1,000,000 units. Really? Wow.
Of course both Tum-Tape and Skinnies are marketed toward women, but I’m sure at least some guys have tried them out.
I’d like to say I wouldn’t try it out, but hell if something like this could give me a quick fix to smooth out my love handles in a pinch, I’d be game to give them a test drive.
In all seriousness, I could see the physiological benefit in using a product like this.
Not all of us are born with the stay skinny/slender gene. I can say from personal experience that it’s always been difficult for me to keep off weight and to trim up my midsection. My love handles just won’t seem to go away!
I could see this being a huge help for many folks such as: People who have lost a lot of weight, folks who have loose skin, individuals struggling to loose that last 10 lbs and would like to look more slender in their clothes, and of course women who recently gave birth.
Yes, of course shapewear or slimming gear like Spanx (for Men), Equmen, Underworks, and Leonisa can be worn in place using a stomach-flattening adhesive, but what if you just wanted to wear a standard undershirt or no undershirt at all?
IDK — I’d like to laugh, but I’m not. (I still believe in a good diet and exercise)
What do you think?
