The battle of the MicroModal Undershirt continues with newcomer Forca.

Not only that, they are slapping every other MicroModal undershirt-maker in the face, with a pretty aggressive price-point.

  1. I just tried out a 5 pack of the Forca shirts

Very similar to Tommy John’s second skin v-neck but at a much better price point. I have been wearing them for about 2 months, they do pill a little bit, not as bad as most micromodal but they still do unfortunately — I still haven’t found a micromodal shirt that doesn’t pill. Overall it’s a great fit, feel and I will get more as a inexpensive (but luxurious) Christmas present for friends/family

    • thanks tory. glad forca is working out for you!

for $14 they’re a decent value, but the fabric pilled too much for me to think it was worth buying the in place of an alternative that may cost more, but doesn’t pill as much.

  2. I’ve bought several micromodal undershirts, including the best in the world – Zimmerli Pureness at $110 each. Soft and very comfortable, they are very fitted so they give a really clean look under your clothing – they don’t bag or bunch up of anything, they look great on a nice body (very fitted), but despite the best care, they pill like a cheap acrylic sweater.

    • heya randy, thanks for stopping by.

yeah, the #1 issue with micromodal undershirts is that they pill. doesn’t change the way they feel wearing them, but they look prematurely worn. even the crazy expensive ones (:

even the low/non-pill ones (siro micromodal) pill some. the best way to prevent pilling, or at least minimize it, is to wash the undershirt inside out and hang dry it (or at least keep it inside out when you’re drying it.

i’ll be curious to see how well this forca micromodal undershirt holds up to pilling. not sure when/if i get one, but if i do, i’ll report back here or in a review.
