BYLT Flex Boxer Briefs Review

by: Jason

BYLT Basics prides themselves on being a company that found a way to get you high-end premium basics at an affordable price, shipped directly to your door.

They’re tired of “cheap, throwaway basics.”

I recently picked up a pair of their Flex Boxer Briefs to give them a try.

My first impressions:

  • These are a solidly built pair of boxer briefs
  • Stout materials and a heavyweight waist band

However, I think they would be better off for days in the gym, vs an “everyday” pair.

They remind me more of the Nike Pro series shorts.

They have also redesigned the fly for quick access.

“BYLT’s signature 40º side-fly offers a more comfortable draw and easier access.  It’s the future of flys as it opens at a more convenient 40º angle, and syncs perfectly with the angle of your left hand, or hooked with your right thumb.”

Novel idea, but to me, it seemed backwards.

I figured it [the top of the fly opening] should angle the other direction.

They are made with a 4-way quad stretch material, made from a blend of 84% Polyester and 16% Spandex, with mesh zones for plenty of ventilation.

Now, to the results.

The Good

  • Long leg length – no ride up
  • Solid construction
  • Plenty of ventilation

The Not-So-Good

  • Snug waistband

Like many new companies, BYLT has a 100% refund policy if you don’t love your first pair.

While I personally wouldn’t put the BYLT Flex Boxer Briefs into my favorite boxer briefs bucket, there are many positive reviews on the company’s website, so you may want to give them a try.
