I can’t take full credit for finding this company, but I may have just stumbled upon another hidden gem in men’s undershirts. A friend of the Tug-master referred me over to LA Police Gear and I discovered they offer a shirt series called 5.11 Tactical Utili-T shirts. They are marketed to the law enforcement community as a protective moisture wicking garment they can wear under their uniforms.
They have a couple shirt options to choose from, including:
- Crewneck 5.11 Tactical Utili-T Shirts (3 pack) – $20
- V-neck 5.11 Tactical Utili-T Shirts (3 pack) – $19.99
Tired of your t-shirt coming untucked? Well, try out our new Utili-T shirt. These are extra-long, so that they’ll stay securely tucked-in all day. These Utili-T Shirts feature a no-roll, one-inch, high-density collar and double needle tailoring at the shoulder and neck. Made from 4.5 ounce ringspun 100% cotton jersey with moisture-wicking technology. Tapered fit, and a printed label so there’s no tag to irritate.
Personally, I’m looking forward to reviewing these shirts. I’m hoping they’ll be a good undershirt alternative. I’m also interested to see how long these shirts are (as they are being marketed as “extra-long”) and how the tapered cut fits on me.
I ordered a pack of the Crewneck shirts today before I saw they offered them in v-neck. Immediately after I ordered and realized that I could get the v-neck, I emailed their customer support to see if I could change my order. I got an email response several hours later stating they already had sent my crewneck order to their warehouse to be shipped. Darn! But I will give them some well deserved credit for processing my order so quickly.
Shipping via UPS was a modest $8.99. So all in, my order totaled $30.64 for 3 shirts (about $10 per shirt which isn’t too bad).
Once I receive them, I’ll do a review here to let you know what they’re like.
