Smartphone Jeans from I/O Denim

Now there’s a new way for men who consider themselves both fashionable and technology-forward to “wear” their smartphones with style!  The name of the company is I/O Denim and they have created premium jeans that feature a dedicated smartphone pocket.  The pocket is on the left-hand side of the jeans, in between the knee and the hip along the seam. It is big enough to handle any of the iPhones with a slim case and also most of the Android devices. It will also house any phone that has up to a 4.8” screen (Galaxy S3, etc.).  The Denim is 100% cotton that is durable yet soft to the touch, dark indigo, and it’s produced in North Carolina.

Here’s a combo video package the company used on their Kickstarter Campaign back in November (they surpassed their $10k goal by 27%)

Iron & Resin: Hand-built collection

Born in the small Southern California, blue-collar beach town, Ventura is graced with world class point breaks and seaside racetracks where ghosts of a once towering oil industry still linger in the shadows. Iron & Resin is the brainchild of several friends who after decades of collective experience building successful clothing brands, decided to turn back the clock and start anew. The result is a small, hand built collection of goods that draws heavily upon the founder’s own lifestyles and experiences. Forged in California in a mass produced, disposable world, Iron & Resin is a product of “one-off” culture where men still build by their own hands the craft they ride be it water or land. Iron and Resin goods are carefully hand crafted and printed one at a time in California.

The founder and designer of Iron & Resin, Thom Hill and Jackson Chandler both live in Venture, CA. where they ride bikes and surf weekly, run their retail shop called, “The Garage” and are routinely inspired to create. Being the dynamic duo that they are, Thom and Jackson also host a monthly motorcycle ride to different locations along the California coast.

Fashion and motorcycle riding, two completely different concepts that both intrigue and inspire founder of Iron and Resin, Thom Hill. Thom not only embraces his unique interests, but manages to incorporate them into his clothing line, Iron and Resin as well. InR much like Thom, is unique and authentic. The brand has ecclectic leather goods, graphic tees, and surf-bike inspired clothing. Iron and Resin is designed for the risk takers, the non play-it-safers, and those who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. When Thom isn’t surfing, biking, or spending time with his family he is traveling, attending trade shows, dreaming up plans for Iron & Resin and executing these ideas accordingly. Thom humbly credits his success to his dedication to his dream and ability to staying true to the brand. “I just visualize what I want, and somehow I can usually make it happen.”
