Big and Tall Undershirts in the UK. Are Vests The Preferred Style?

February 22, 2013 | By | Reply More

The guys over at Big Dude Clothing in the United Kingdom recently reached out to me to let me know about their undershirt offering:

Great site you have, very detailed about undershirts.

I’m from Big Dude Clothing from the UK and we specialise in big and tall men’s clothing.

Maybe we could send you what we consider an undershirt in the UK for a review on your site?

We do stock the Jockey brand.

After a quick exchange, they provided some info and links to their undershirt (vest) product offering:

In the UK were more into vests (there the same as undershirts but without the sleeves) and here are some of the products:

They are very competitively priced and a lot of UK people will wear them on holiday (a lot of Brits visit Spain every year) as sometimes even our summer weather here is not good enough to wear them and in winter people wear them under their shirts etc…

Are Vests (Tank Tops) Really the Preferred Undershirt Style in the UK?

So, I was really surprised to hear that guys in the UK are more into tank tops (vests) than traditional v-neck or crew neck undershirts.

Is that really the case? For any of my readers that are from the UK, I’d love to hear from you about this topic.
